
Pedestrian dies after being hit by pick-up truck in Ottawa
Ottawa police have closed a block to traffic in the vicinity of Deschamps and Marier avenues.
A woman died after being hit by a van on Friday morning at the intersection of Deschamps and Marier avenues in the Vanier neighborhood of Ottawa.
The fatal collision occurred around 5:40 a.m., according to information relayed by the Ottawa Paramedic Service.
The pedestrian died on the scene of the accident.

Due to a police investigation, Marier Avenue is closed between Montreal Road and Carillon Street. Access to Deschamps Avenue is also blocked at Olmstead Avenue.
