President: Ukraine will receive reliable missile defense from partner countries
The leaders of the G7 countries promised to send missile defense systems to Ukraine. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during an address to the Ukrainians. -Even before the start of a full-scale war, we told our partners that we needed modern missile defense. This was repeated after 24 February. And now I can already say this – I heard it from our partners: Ukraine must receive reliable missile defense, we are waiting for the supply of appropriate systems, – the head of state said. As the president noted, during the meeting of the G7 “The leaders of the countries have officially confirmed that they will support our state as much as necessary to win the war with Russia. The war in Ukraine began on February 24th. Then Russian troops entered our country and began bombing Ukrainian villages and cities. The Russians strike with heavy weapons, including banned ones, and launch rockets. Since the beginning of the invasion, Russian troops have fired almost 2,800 different cruise missiles and hundreds of thousands of air bombs and rocket artillery shells across Ukraine.
