Queen to release unreleased song by Freddie Mercury
Queen will release an unreleased song performed by Freddie Mercury in September. The composition was recorded while working on the album The Miracle, released in May 1989, but was never released. Zoe Ball and Roger Taylor told BBC Radio about this. – We really found a little pearl in Freddie, which we kind of forgot about. And it was wonderful. In fact, it was a real discovery. It's from The Miracle sessions and I think the track will be out in September,” Taylor said. There were about 30 songs recorded while working on the album, many of which didn't end up on the record. The idea of releasing a new track with Mercury's vocals was taken as a challenge by the musicians and the engineering team. – We looked at it many times and thought, “Oh no, we can't save this.” But in fact, we went back in there and our amazing engineering team said, “OK, we can do this and that.” It's like stitching the pieces together… It's beautiful. It is touching! This is a very passionate song, they noted. Freddie Mercury died in November 1991. After his death, Queen continued to perform. Over the years, her vocalists were Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert.
