Amber Alert Saskatchewan: Child's mother faces three charges

The Amber Alert has was lifted at approximately 5:36 p.m., Sunday.

In the aftermath of a since solved kidnapping in Saskatchewan, the mother of the abducted child was charged by Regina police.

The 36-year-old woman faces three counts, including kidnapping, abduction of a child under 16, and breach of a bail order.

The incident has occurred sunday. Regina police were arrested at a home where a woman came to take possession of her child.

The suspect in question had no right to s& #x27;approach the resident living in this home, and she did not have custody of her child.

According to the police investigation, the mother and her son went to Regina General Hospital before setting off on foot.

Several elements of this investigation led to believe that the safety of the child was compromised. The Amber Alert was therefore issued at 3:40 p.m.

About two hours later, the latter were spotted on Rose Street in the Saskatchewan capital.

The young child was found safe and sound, while his mother was arrested.
