“Servant of the People” Bezuglaya proposed to revive a permanent newspaper under the Ministry of Defense

The document proposes to amend Article 8-1 of the law on print media. And also change the editorial board of the media:

• exclude the representative of the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories;
• replace the press officers of the press center of the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation with press officers of the press service MoD;
• journalists working in the area of ​​the anti-terrorist operation and covering military topics should be left simply with the wording “covering military topics”.

Funding of the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense will be carried out according to proposed Bezuglya bill, at the expense of the state budget.

The Ministry of Defense had a newspaper “People's Army”, which existed until the end of 2018. However, in connection with the law on reforming the print media, the publication was actually transformed into the ArmiyaInform website, where some journalists moved to work.

In early 2021, the Ministry of Defense announced its intention to resume the publication of the People's Army newspaper on an ongoing basis, however this was never done. The ArmyInform website and Army FM radio operate in the Internet space.
