National Guard soldiers shot down a Russian Mi-24 helicopter near Bakhmut

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 7, National Guard soldiers shot down a Russian Mi-24 attack helicopter near Bakhmut, Donetsk region. This was reported by the press service of the National Guard.

It is reported that the National Guards found two enemy Mi-24 helicopters in the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut. One of the helicopters attacked Ukrainian units and provided air cover for enemy infantry advancing on the Ukrainian defense line.

Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy an enemy helicopter from Igla-1 MANPADS. From a rocket hit, he began to lose altitude and descend. The fate of the pilot is unknown.
