Tandy Newton gave surprising comments in a new interview, discussing the work together with Tom cruise in the movie 2000 “Mission impossible 2”. Tandy, who said she felt “terror” and “the lack of security on set,” called the actor “dominant” man.
Tandy Newton remembered the “nightmare” days on the set of “Mission impossible 2″ in 2000, in a candid interview. 47-year-old actress, star of TV series “the Wild West”, recalled as being “so scared” Tom cruise is the main star of the TV series spy because of his perfectionism nature during the filming. Tandy played the loving partner, the Naya Nordoff-Hall, against the secret spy MFM Tom’s Ethan hunt.
“I was so scared Tom,” admitted Tandy on Monday, July 6, in the new issue of new York magazine. “He was a very dominating man. He tries very hard to be a good person. But the pressure. It takes a lot on himself,” she said about the actor Top Gun. “And I think he has a sense that he can do everything as good as possible.”
Then Tandy explained one scene in which she and 58-year-old That was shot on the balcony in Spain. “Tom was not happy with what I did because I had the most acute features” — recalls the actress. “And he was so disappointed with having to explain and explain the says: “Let me just — let’s just do it. Let’s just rehearse the camera. So, we were rehearsing and they wrote it down, and then he says, “I’ll be you. Be me, — she explained. “So, we shot the whole scene with me because I was — because believe me, I already knew the stories — and he played me.”
Then Tandy told me that he considered Tom’s “most useless” trying to help her out in this scene. “It just pushed me to the horror and insecurity. It was a real shame,” she said, noting, — bless him — Tom, who “was struggling”.
On the same day, when she tried to film the scene of “Mission impossible 2″, Tandy explained to the publication that she called his friend Jonathan Demme to tell us what happened. Jonathan had previously filmed the mysterious Tandy in the 2002 movie “the Truth about Charlie”, which also starred mark Wahlberg.
“When I described it, it was clear that I thought are a big problem near the king. And Jonathan said, “Tandy, shame on you that you don’t support yourself.” He was really sweet,” recalled the actress. “Then he called That, and I thought, “That’s all. Apologies. — No, he just said, “We are going to reshoot this week”. I’m like, “the way to a brilliant release,” she recalls.
“And next time, when we re-shot the scene, I went in there and showed all that capable — because I realized what he wanted. “He just wanted the alpha bitch,” said Tandy. “And I did everything I could. It’s not the best way to get a better job from someone”.
Recalling his experience with Tom, Tandy said at the time she thought that the actor “horrific.” “It was really stressful,” she said, noting that if the situation happened today, she would have acted differently.
Tandy also mentioned that she “never invited” to return to the sequel “Mission impossible III” in 2006.
