The Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the blowing up of bridges in Bakhmut
Bakhmut remains a priority target for the enemy, but the experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine allows us to rebuild the defense and resist in the future, despite the fact that the enemy damages the infrastructure in the city area. This was stated by the speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Sergei Cherevaty on the air of the telethon.
When asked by a journalist what the trips of the generals to Bakhmut in recent days are connected with, he said that this is a clear sign that the Ukrainian forces will fight for every meter of their land.
«Bakhmut for today — this is the epicenter of the war. Only in the area of the city itself during the day the enemy made 21 shelling and 9 clashes occurred. In total, in the area of the settlements of Vasyukovka, Dubovo-Vasilyevka, Bogdanovka, Bakhmut and Ivanovskoye, 131 shelling of the enemy and with PRZ artillery was recorded and 38 clashes occurred. 155 invaders were killed, 239 were injured, and three were taken prisoner»,— said Cherevaty.
According to him, the situation around Bakhmut is now difficult, but under control.
«For the enemy, this city is a priority target, but our the command and personnel are doing everything to protect this settlement and at the same time inflict maximum losses on the enemy & # 187;, & # 8212; Cherevaty assured.
In particular, he commented on the report about the blowing up of two important bridges in the Bakhmut area.
«This is a war, and in such a flurry fire also destroys critical infrastructure. But the experience of more than a year of war on a large scale and a whole 9-year war against the occupier allows us to rebuild the defense and resist in the future, despite the fact that it damages the infrastructure», — Cherevaty explained.
