The battle continues: Syrsky called Bakhmut an impregnable fortress for the invaders
AFU prepared in advance for defense in Bakhmut and Bakhmut district. This was stated by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky.
According to him, the specified section of the front has some features of the relief. So, Bakhmut itself is surrounded by dominating heights and hills, which in themselves impede the enemy.
«A well-thought-out system of engineering barriers, combined with the natural landscape, turned this area into a real impregnable fortress, near the walls which more than one thousand enemies found death», — Syrsky said.
The commander emphasized that the battle for Bakhmut continues.
