The Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Laguta
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed on the dismissal of Gennady Laguta from the post of head of the Kherson regional state administration. This was announced on the evening of June 28 in his Telegram channel by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnichuk. The Kherson edition of MOST reported that Laguta had written a letter of resignation. However, the governor himself denied this in a comment to Suspіlny. – I did not write anything. So far, I’ve been working, and I’m still working,” he said a few hours before Melnichuk’s message. Also, according to local media, they plan to create a military-civilian administration in temporarily occupied Kherson. The journalists referred to two sources close to the Office of the President and the Kherson regional military-civilian administration. The agreement on the dismissal of Gennady Laguta and information about the establishment of the Supreme State Administration in Kherson coincided with the abduction of Kherson Mayor Igor Kolykhaev by Russian invaders. The latter, unlike the governor, did not leave the region after its temporary occupation. President Vladimir Zelensky appointed Gennady Laguta head of the Kherson Regional State Administration on October 27, 2021. Prior to that, he was deputy chairman of the regional council.
