The crown of “Miss Ukraine Universe”-2022 was given to the first vice-miss of last year
The title of “Miss Ukraine Universe” -2022 was received by 28-year-old Victoria Apanasenko from Chernihiv. The organizing committee of the national contest abandoned the traditional show this year and handed over the crown “I Vice Miss Ukraine Universe” -2021. The beauty will represent our country at the international contest “Miss Universe 2022”. The organizers announced this on social networks on June 15. – Be afraid of your desires, they have the ability to come true. When Anna Filimonova called me and said that I would represent Ukraine at Miss Universe, I was a volunteer in a restaurant and washed the floor. My shock was hard to put into words. Can you imagine this picture? It was my childhood dream. Probably for the first time in all this time I cried from happiness. I have always said that beauty contests are not about good looks or a good fashion show. This is a mouthpiece in which your voice becomes louder and you can convey an important message to the whole world. I love Ukraine with all my heart, and it's a great honor to represent it at the international level, – said the title holder. The team of the national contest, together with Miss Ukraine Universe-2022, have already begun to cooperate with designers to create an outfit for competition of national costumes. Apanasenko is a professional model. She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Social Work. Since the first days of the war in Ukraine, Victoria has been helping the capital's institution prepare food for the battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the elderly, and is also engaged in volunteer activities – together with her friend delivers food, medicine and hygiene products for children, the elderly and IDPs. In 2021, Victoria lost the crown to the artist and blogger Anna Nepliakh from Dnipro. In 2017, Anna represented Ukraine at the Miss Intercontinental contest, and later was a participant in the Bachelor-10 show with Max Mikhailyuk. At the Miss Universe 2022 contest, Nepliakh did not make it to the TOP-16 semi-finalists. Indian actress Harnaaz Sandhu became the winner of the international beauty contest.
