The European Parliament supported granting Ukraine the status of an EU candidate
The European Parliament adopted a resolution in support of granting Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for EU membership. MEP Volodymyr Bilchik announced this on his Twitter. – The European Parliament by an overwhelming majority of votes adopts a resolution on the candidate status of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia: the voting results speak for themselves. In addition to granting EU candidate status to countries, the leaders of the 27 EU states should also discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the blocking of Ukrainian ports by the aggressor country. Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna previously stressed that all EU member states agree to grant candidate status to Ukraine.
