The first film since the beginning of the full-scale offensive of the Russian Federation is being shot in Ukraine – about a volunteer with superpowers
The film company Mamas Production has begun filming the game military drama “The Day I Met Spiderman”. This is the first shooting of a full-length feature film on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. The film tells the story of a volunteer girl who discovers her superpowers and saves the future of a boy from Bucha. – Someone knows the story of schoolboy Peter Parker, who became Spiderman. Someone has heard of billionaire Bruce Wayne wearing a Batman suit. We will tell the story of volunteer Katya, who felt superpower in herself, — shared the author of the idea and co-producer of the film Anton Skripets. The filmmakers pay special attention to the unique format they have chosen for their story. According to them, no one has done this in Ukraine yet.
– Even at the stage of the script, together with Anton, we discussed a lot the nuances of the format in which we decided to tell our story. We wanted the film to respond to everyone, so we will speak with the audience in a language they understand. Arthouse techniques of expressiveness have been thrown away!”, — comments the director of the film Eva Strelnikova.

< p>Filming started in early May and continues to this day in Lviv, Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine. The roles in the film will be played by Elizaveta Zaitseva, Alexander Rudinsky, Olesya Zhurakovskaya, Ekaterina Kisten.
“Being the first in Ukraine to take on feature films, in the conditions of war, has become a real challenge for the Association of Ukrainian Producers (OUP), originally aimed at making documentary films!” said Alla Lipovetskaya, co-founder of OUP and Mamas Production. – When Anton came with this tough, but at the same time very lyrical story, it seemed crazy to me to start shooting a feature film. But with each day of discussion about the unusual format of the film, with each day of writing the script, confidence grew. And when our partners from AMO Pictures became interested in the project, it became obvious that the project does not leave anyone indifferent even at the script stage. There are no options left – only launch!
The Day I Met Spiderman is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2022. Viewers will be able to watch it on streaming platforms, festivals, TV and cinemas.
