Dinner is served. Now all that’s missing is wonderful open-air weather so that the first cinema days held in Auerbach are a complete success. So on Thursday evening (28th) the twelve by eight meter big cinema screen was set up in the Kronepark. The “EuropaFilmFest” takes place from July 19th to August 5th.
The first open-air cinema in Auerbach starts tomorrow, Thursday (29th), in the heart of the Bensheim district and climatic health resort. A cultural highlight. Film enthusiasts and entertainment fans will get their money’s worth with daily operation on eight days in the Kronepark. The selection of films is impressive. Oscar-winning masterpieces such as “Der Rausch” with Mads Mikkelsen in the leading role or “Mephisto” with Klaus Maria Brandauer as well as the winners of the Hessian Film Awards on tomorrow’s opening evening before the official start of the film, the rogue comedy “COUP”, which, with witty words, is directed by Sven O. Hill himself will introduce, to name just a few examples. The film evenings, which of course also include the rock spectacle “Bohemian Rhapsody”, are rounded off with a varied supporting program and not to be forgotten with the presentations by the Bensheim partnership and friendship associations. In keeping with the title “EuropaFilmFest”. “The advance booking has got off to a very good start. Two performances, “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Der Rausch”, have already been sold out, ”said organizer Alfred Speiser. Tombola proceeds for fire brigade
The members of the Auerbach trade group also come up with a daily surprise. At the end of the preliminary program, around ten interesting prizes of different values will be raffled off as part of a tombola designed by the business people. Well-known people living in Auerbach act as “lucky fairies” every day. The lots for a price of one euro each can be purchased at a stand right next to the entrance to the event site. Buyers donate to a good cause immediately, as the proceeds go to the fire protection officers of the Auerbach volunteer fire brigade.
A large number of honorary tickets for film screenings at the Auerbach open-air cinema “EuropaFilmFest” were presented by the organizers from the art house cinema Brennessel in Hemsbach and Luxor-Filmpalast Bensheim on Wednesday evening (27th).
