The General Staff told how many Russian invaders are at the borders of Ukraine

< p>To date, the grouping of Russian troops deployed in Belarus, the Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation is half that which was involved at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. Brigadier General Aleksey Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing.

According to him, the situation on the border with Belarus remains controlled and stable. Thus, the enemy continues to conduct training at Belarusian training grounds, where at present there are up to 11 thousand personnel and more than 400 units of weapons and military equipment of the occupying country.

In addition, the group of Russian troops deployed in Belarus, Bryansk and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, half the size of the group that was involved in the attack on Kyiv in February this year: 22 thousand against 45.5 thousand invaders.

Gromov added that even if all combat Belarusian military units from the ground forces and special operations forces, the total grouping of the aggressor troops will number about 30 thousand people, which «still less than the one that participated in the full-scale invasion».
