The head of the Italian Foreign Ministry told when the SAMP/T air defense system was deployed in Ukraine
The SAMP/T anti-aircraft missile system should be operational on the front lines in Ukraine over the next two months. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this in an interview with Rai TV channel, writes «European Pravda».
«(SAMP/T air defense systems) will be deployed on the territory of Ukraine over the next seven to eight weeks»,” he noted.
Commenting on Russia’s war against Ukraine, Tajani noted that «it is difficult to make forecasts», but the RF & #171;will certainly look for a way out» from the current situation, and therefore the international community should «strive to protect Ukrainian independence and work for peace».
- At the end of January, it became known that France and Italy were preparing to transfer SAMP air defense systems to Ukraine /T and agreed to purchase 700 Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles for them.
