Head of the Kyiv OVA: Kyiv may be left without electricity for two weeks

Due to rocket attacks by Russian terrorists, there is a threat that Kyiv may be left without electricity for up to two weeks. This was announced by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba in an interview with hromadske.

«It depends on what kind of damage we will be inflicted. If there are damages that we can repair in two weeks, then this will indicate that we need to hold out for two weeks. If there are other damages, then the repair process may take longer or, conversely, less. Unfortunately, we have such an enemy that it is difficult to foresee the conditions for defeat. That is a real threat that we may be without electricity for up to two weeks. And we are already preparing for this», Kuleba explained.

He noted that rocket attacks on energy infrastructure could lead to a lack of heating. For such a case, there are 750 stationary heating points in the Kyiv region.

«These points are equipped with appropriate generators, there is food, certain water supplies. That is, it is a shelter that will allow you to be warm and safe. The State Emergency Service also has an infrastructure for mobile heating points & # 187;, & # 8212; Kuleba added.

  • On October 31, air defense protected Kyiv from missiles, but most of the capital was left without electricity and water.
