The Ministry of Defense called the main achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the year of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation

Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar named 10 major victories of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the year of full-scale war with Russia. She spoke about this at a briefing by representatives of the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine at the Military Media Center.

Malyar noted that in February-April 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully defended Kiev, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv, and already in March – In April, the Russian invaders were expelled from the territories of the Kiev, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

In April, Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy the missile cruiser «Moskva», and in June to liberate Zmeiny Island from Russian invaders. In June-August, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the logistics systems of the Russian occupation forces in the South and East of Ukraine, and in the period from September to October they expelled the enemy from the Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

The Deputy Minister of Defense also recalled that in October 2022 – In February 2023, there were significant achievements in the work of the Ukrainian air defense systems, and in December 2022-February 2023, the Armed Forces held back the offensive of the Russian army in the East of Ukraine.

At the same time, Maliar urged to remember the price that the Ukrainian people pay for their freedom, and added that the battle of Ukrainians for the right to live lasts 52 weeks and more than 8,700 hours.
