The first and last President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev is ill. The 91-year-old politician is in a Moscow hospital. This follows from the picture published by a senior researcher at the Institute of World Literature named after A.M. Gorky RAS Nikolai Podosokorsky. – Let's wish Mikhail Sergeevich recovery. He must survive the present! – Podosokorsky signed a photo in which Gorbachev is captured with Russian economist Ruslan Grinberg. At the same time, hematomas are visible on both of Gorbachev's hands, and in the background there is a dropper. Podosokorsky did not specify why Gorbachev was in the clinic. However, the day before, Russian Telegram channels reported that the politician had problems with the kidneys, so hemodialysis should be regularly performed in one of the Moscow clinics. Mikhail Gorbachev is 91 years old. Born in 1931. He has served as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1985, and since 1988 – Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In March 1990, he was elected president of the USSR at an extraordinary congress of people's deputies. December 8, 1991, Gorbachev signed the Belovezhskaya Accords, which marked the actual cessation of the existence of the USSR. On December 25, Gorbachev announced his resignation.
