This was stated by the speaker of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction, Colonel Alexei Dmitrashkovsky, on the air of the national telethon.
«From yesterday morning, the enemy began to work more actively. There were 43 combat encounters. All in the direction of Ugledar-Marinka-Avdeevka. The enemy used slightly different offensive methods»,— he said.
According to Dmitrashkovsky, in addition to numerous attempts to storm 10-15 people, the enemy also attacked as part of units (companies) with the support of equipment.
Colonel noted that during the day in the Avdiivka area the situation changed dynamically. The result of the day was that all enemy attacks were repulsed, in some areas the Defense Forces of Ukraine even managed to move forward.
In turn, the enemy lost 17 tanks, 17 infantry fighting vehicles and 4 MTLBs on the day of February 22. Enemy losses in manpower amounted to approximately 300 people.
There were no assault actions in the Zaporozhye direction, but the enemy constantly uses cannon artillery, MLRS to shell settlements. The Defense Forces spokesman added that 70 such shellings were recorded in the past day alone, another 16 — per night.
