The Office of the President commented on the desire of 75% of Ukrainians to stay, despite the danger
The desire to stay in Ukraine, despite the existing danger and emotional stress, is quite understandable – people believe in victory. This is how Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, commented on the results of the study. – In addition, to stay, fight and work is a very responsible position, and Ukrainians are a responsible and purposeful nation. Yes, it is difficult to live and work in the country now, and we are all very well aware of this,” he said. Podolyak noted that three months after the full-scale attack by Russia and hostilities, people are experiencing a certain emotional exhaustion. It applies to both those who stayed in the country and those who went abroad. “But I have no doubt that we will overcome this difficult period. Regarding the return of Ukrainians home from other countries, it depends not only on victory, but also on how quickly Ukraine can recover economically and mentally after the victory. The state is already working on this, – assured the adviser to the head of the President's Office. According to the all-Ukrainian survey conducted in early June, 75% of respondents to the question “Would you like to personally leave Ukraine now?” gave the answer “no”. 13.6% of respondents answered “difficult to answer” to this question. Almost 7% of the study participants answered the question “Would you like to personally leave Ukraine now?” answered “Yes, for long-term or permanent residence”. 5% of respondents confirmed their desire to leave “before the end of hostilities.” The study was conducted on April 1-4 on a volunteer basis by the Ukrainian research panel “Own Opinion” with the support of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, at the initiative of the Office of the President of Ukraine . Respondents in all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, took part in the online survey. The sample parameters of the study correspond to the parameters of the urban population of Ukraine by gender, age (14-55) and area of residence until February 24. Survey method: CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing). Sampled population: 7414. Data sources: panel “Own opinion”, subscribers of information channels of State administrations in all regions of Ukraine and other channels of communication with online audience in Ukraine.
