On fierce battles continue in eastern Ukraine, and now the Russians are trying to expand the geography of the offensive in the Liman direction. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar in her Telegram channel.
She noted that the Russian army is making «strong attempts» break through the defenses of the Ukrainian forces.
«Despite heavy losses, the Russian invaders continue offensive operations also in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky, Novopavlovsky directions. What does this mean in simple terms? There is a war going on. Cruel and fierce», – stressed Malyar.
She added that Russian troops are actively trying to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine protect every centimeter of Ukrainian land in the face of the advantage of the Russian army in the amount of manpower and weapons.
According to her, Ukraine is now using all its resources «to the maximum and even more» when trying to repel Russian attacks and hold the defense.
