The United States advised Ukraine to delay the offensive at the front and wait for the supply of weapons

The White House advises the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from launching a major offensive on the front until the last supply of American weapons has been received by Kyiv. According to Reuters, a high-ranking official in the Joe Biden administration told reporters about this on condition of anonymity.

According to the official, the negotiations between the United States and Ukraine on the possibility of a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were conducted in the context of that Ukrainians should first devote sufficient time to training in the use of the latest weapons provided by the United States.

The interviewee also noted that the Biden administration is firmly committed to its decision not to supply Kyiv with Abrams tanks, which, as the Pentagon argued, too expensive, difficult to operate, and consumes a lot of fuel.

January 19, Joe Biden approved a new $2.5 billion military aid package for Ukraine, which included dozens of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and Stryker armored personnel carriers.
