Theater: The Sistina restarts with the boys
A wave of optimism and confidence comes from the Sistina Theater in Rome which, in these dark months of theater closures and authentic paralysis of live entertainment, chooses to start again with the youngest, opening the doors of the tried and tested and prestigious Academy for talents from 8 at 16 years old.
The Sistina therefore, waiting to be able to return to set up the great musicals and entertaining comedies, will open the curtain and animate its stage to train the artists of tomorrow, professionals in the entertainment world, prepared and versatile. Not only that, the Sistine Academy this year restarts and relaunches, opening at the same time, next to the Rome office, also that of Milan, in the spaces of the historic Teatro Manzoni. The intent is therefore to react to the cultural desert caused by the pandemic by focusing everything on quality artistic training and investing in young people. Thanks to the professionalism and experience of qualified teachers (belonging to the creative team of the Great Musicals signed by Massimo Romeo Piparo and produced by Sistina and PeepArrow Entertainment) who will give lessons in various disciplines, from singing to dance, from acting to Tip Tap, the young students will learn the art of theater and musicals. In addition to the educational aspect, the children will have the opportunity to live an exciting experience also from the point of view of personal growth, comparing themselves with other children and sharing the fun alongside the commitment.
Some numbers of the Sistine Academy, which will take place from the end of June to the middle of September: 8-week course for 40 days, 8 hours a day for 40 hours a week. In detail, each week the students will follow a cycle of lessons divided as follows: 6 hours of modern dance, 3 hours of classical dance and 3 hours of Tip Tap, 2 hours of circus, 6 hours of singing, 4 hours of English singing, 6 hours of acting, 3 hours of diction and 2 hours of dubbing. After this Summer School of art, the students will stage a real show, both in Rome and in Milan, with the typical production dynamics of the Sistina and PeepArrow, in which they will be able to show the precious fruits of their commitment.
Thanks to this full educational immersion, which guarantees a multidisciplinary preparation, very focused on practice, the young artists will therefore be ready to face the stage with an excellent background. As always, after all, the strength of the Sistine Academy is to create a bridge between today’s artistic training and the work of “tomorrow”: in fact, in recent years many young people who have attended summer courses have been chosen for participate in important theatrical and television productions, thus having the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in the field. All together Passionately, Billy Elliot, Evita, School of Rock, are just some of the titles in the repertoire that the selected students had access to at the end of the courses.
