A Lévis police vehicle
A man of 24 and a 22-year-old woman were arrested Wednesday in Lévis, thanks to the vigilance of a 12-year-old young witness. They will be charged with a robbery committed in a convenience store.
The theft took place on Wednesday, around 5:45 p.m., in a business on Saint-Joseph Street.
A masked individual entered the business and threatened the clerk by pointing at him with a knife and demanding the contents of the cash drawer. He came out with the money and ran away, the police explained in a press release.
Thanks to the vigilance of a young witness of 12 years, the suspects were quickly located near the scene of the theft. He was able to give a good description of the suspects and the car used to commit the crime.
Both suspects are from the Sherbrooke area.
< p class="e-p">They are expected to appear Thursday at the Quebec City courthouse on charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and wearing a disguise.
