“There are people who plant explosives. There are drones”: Budanov promised “problems” inside Russia
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, did not confirm that Ukrainian special forces were behind the attacks on Russian airfields at the end of 2022, but said that intelligence had agents inside Russia. He told The Washington Post about this.
According to Budanov, incidents at airfields with strategic aircraft «destroyed the illusions of security» Russians.
«There are people who plant explosives. There are drones. Until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is restored, there will be problems inside Russia», he promised.
The head of intelligence suggested, the newspaper writes, that the Kremlin should be wary of collaborators in its midst.
«There are really people in this territory who are very easy to work with, people who understand that Russia should be different. And we support such people»,” he said.
