Twin Peaks soundtrack singer Julie Cruise dies at 65

Twin Peaks singer Julie Cruise, best known for her music on Twin Peaks, dies on 66th year of life. Death came from natural causes. Julie's husband announced this on Facebook, writes The Guardian.

– She left this life for natural reasons. Without regret. She was calm… I played her (B-52 track, – Auth.) Roam during her transition. Now she will wander forever. Rest in peace my love,” the man wrote.

In 2018, Cruz confirmed that doctors diagnosed her with lupus. The singer complained of chronic pain.

Julie gained notoriety for her performance on the Falling soundtrack and a cameo appearance in the TV series Twin Peaks. She appeared on screen three times as a bar singer in Twin Peaks. She also starred in the spin-off film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and in the third season of Twin Peaks: The Return in 2017.

The track Falling ranked 7th in the UK charts, and also became a hit in Europe and Australia. The singer is known for her role in the film “Blue Velvet” directed by David Lynch and as a member of the group B-52. Cruz was married to writer and editor Edward Grinnan.
