Two injured in an assault in Edmundston: 4 minors and an adult arrested

The Edmundston police intervened shortly after midnight, on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

A stabbing injured two people in the night from Saturday to Sunday, in Edmundston, New Brunswick.

Edmundston police say they were dispatched shortly after midnight to the Knights of Columbus hall in the Saint-Jacques sector, where a party was taking place.

Five individuals were arrested, four of whom were minors.

Sunday evening, one of the minors remained detained, Edmundston police said in a statement.

She will appear in court pro vinciale in Edmundston on Monday to face charges, police added.

Police say they are still looking for witnesses in the case.
