Ukraine and Poland have increased by 50% the capacity at the Krakovets – Korcheva

As part of the Open Border project, Ukraine and Poland doubled the throughput at the Krakovets-Korcheva checkpoint. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his address.

– There is good news from our border with Poland. As part of the Open Border project, the throughput capacity of the Krakovets-Korcheva checkpoint has been increased by 50%. This will significantly increase the export-import flow across the border, the president said.

According to him, Ukraine will update checkpoints at other checkpoints on the borders with the EU countries. It can fight the food crisis caused by the Russian invasion of our country.

– Other points on the borders with the EU countries are also expected to be upgraded. And it is tangible, and not only for us. Allows you to do global things. Fight the food crisis, which Russia provoked by the blockade of ports, he stressed.

The Open Border project provides for the elimination of bottlenecks on the western border and the improvement of logistics in the Ukraine-EU direction. To this end, it is planned to reconstruct the infrastructure of existing checkpoints (including access roads), build new checkpoints, and introduce joint border and customs control with neighboring states.
