Ukraine refuted Russian fakes about forced mobilization of women

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council responded to information circulated online about alleged mobilization women in Ukraine. The department denied the rumors and assured that the “fakes” of the Russians were not true.

– A photo of a document allegedly signed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Shaptala was circulated near the pro-Russian Telegram channels, which states that the territorial recruitment centers need “until 06/15/2022, prepare lists of women registered with the military… to carry out mobilization measures, and by 06/31/2022, organize activities for military registration of women aged 18 to 60,” the report says.

The department emphasized that this “document” is a fake and no such orders were received from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the head of the Chernihiv OCC and JV Oleg Goncharuk, today in Ukraine there is no need mandatory conscription of women.
