At least six people were killed, and more than 30 others may be trapped in the rubble, after Russian rockets hit a five-story apartment building in Ukraine's Donetsk region, the region's governor has announced.

Pavlo Kyrylenko reported on Telegram that the strike took place on Saturday evening in the town of Chasiv Yar. Six people were killed and five were injured, he added.
According to reports from residents, at least 34 people are likely still trapped in the ruins of the #x27;building that collapsed under the impacts.
The majority Russian-speaking region of Donetsk is the priority objective in Ukraine for Moscow, which claims to have captured entire Lugansk region, following the Ukrainian withdrawal from the towns of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk in recent weeks.
According to Mr. Kyrylenko, 591 civilians have been killed and 1,548 others injured so far in the Donetsk region since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24.
