In the sky over Bakhmut, Ukrainian border guards shot down a Russian attack aircraft. This was reported by the State Border Service.
According to the agency, an enemy attack aircraft provided air cover for infantry advancing on the Ukrainian defense line.
«MANPADS of one of the border units opened fire and shot down a Russian combat aircraft, previously a Su-25», the report says.
The State Border Service noted that the aircraft caught fire and crashed from a missile hit. The fate of the pilot is still unknown.
