Ukrenergo: Russian shelling damaged almost all thermal power plants and large hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine

Russian troops damaged almost all thermal power plants and large hydroelectric power plants with missile strikes. This was stated by the head of the board of NPC “Ukrenergo” Volodymyr Kudrytsky during a briefing.

“We have almost no intact thermal and hydroelectric power plants left. Almost all thermal and hydro generation, if we are talking about large power plants, was damaged by missile strikes. Also, there were almost no unscathed nodal substations «Ukrenergo». That is, something arrived at every large substation, and at some substations – several times: three, five, and even eight, ”Kudrytsky said.

In Ukraine, a constant lack of electricity, which leads to planned power outages. In addition, Ukraine has lost control over extremely important power plants (Zaporizhzhya NPP, Luhanska TPP, Uglehirska TPP, Zaporozhskaya TPP and Kakhovskaya HPP), which significantly reduced generating capacity.
