US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said she does not expect the war to end soon. However, she assured that Washington is ready to support Ukraine for a long time. The diplomat said this in an interview with «European Pravda».
When asked whether it was realistic to end the war next year, Brink replied: “As a diplomat with 25 years of experience, I learned not to speculate on about the future.”
«But I don’t think it will be a quick war», — she said.
Brink stressed that the United States will continue to support Ukraine for a long time if the war continues into 2023.
« We are already demonstrating this. Part of the long-term assistance we provide will work for years and years (…) to help Ukraine build an army that will help it defend itself after this conflict is over» — she added.
