US State Department: Thousands of unprepared Russians were killed from Soledare
Russian invaders paid a high price during the assault on Soledar in the Bakhmut direction. This was stated at a briefing by US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel.
According to him, the fighting in the city continues, but the months-long Russian campaign has led to huge losses in personnel.
«Thousands of untrained and ill-equipped Russian conscripts were killed», Patel said.
He noted that the Kremlin also acknowledged that the decision to attack Soledar was costly.< /p>
«We are going to continue to closely consult with our Ukrainian partners and assess the situation», the State Department speaker added.
