Police are investigating a shooting in North Preston, Nova Scotia on Friday in which a young man was injured.

According to information from the Halifax Regional Police, the incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Amos Walter Drive in North Preston, a municipality located one 30 minutes northeast of Halifax.

At the scene, patrol officers located a 24-year-old male with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
