The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that the Russian Federation is preparing about 200,000 new soldiers. He has no doubt that the Russians will again go to Kyiv. He said this in an interview with The Economist.
“According to our estimates, they (the Russians – ed.) have a reserve of 1.2-1.5 million people. The Russians are preparing about 200,000 new soldiers. I have no doubt that they will go to Kyiv again,” he said.
According to Zaluzhny, the Russian mobilization worked. He called it a lie that the problems with equipping the mobilized are so serious.
“They will (fight). The king orders them to fight – and they fight. I studied the history of the two Chechen wars – it was the same there. They may not be as well-equipped, but they still present us with a problem,” summed up the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
