Zaluzhny told how many missiles were shot down on December 31
Air defense forces shot down 12 enemy attacks during Saturday's attack. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
«The forces and means of our air defense destroyed 12 cruise missiles: 6 within the Kyiv region, 5 — in Zhitomirskaya, one — in Khmelnytsky», — Zaluzhny said.
Preliminary, the enemy launched more than 20 air-launched cruise missiles using Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea and ground-based missile systems.
