Zelensky: A fierce battle is being fought in Severodonetsk – the fate of Donbass is being decided there

President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the situation in Donbass. According to him, Severodonetsk is now the epicenter of the fighting. This was discussed in the next address of the head of state to the Ukrainians.

– Following the results of this period, already 105 days of a full-scale war, Severodonetsk remains the epicenter of confrontation in the Donbass. We are defending our positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy,” Zelensky said.

As the president noted, one of the most difficult battles during the Russian invasion is currently taking place in the Donbass, and it is there that the fate of the entire region is being decided.

– This is a very fierce battle, very hard. Perhaps one of the most difficult throughout this war. I am grateful to each and every one who defends in this direction. In many ways, it is there that the fate of our Donbass is now being decided,” he stressed.

In April, fierce battles began in the Donbass. The Russians are trying to capture a number of cities. According to the head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration, Sergei Gaidai, today more than 90% of Severodonetsk is under the control of Russian troops, and hostilities continue in the city.
