Zelensky: The attack in Kremenchug is not a mistake - it's a calculated strike on the shopping center

The Russian attack on the shopping center in Kremenchug is one of the most audacious terrorist attacks in history of Europe. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his traditional video message to the Ukrainians.

– Before the air raid was announced, there were about a thousand people there. Fortunately, many managed to get out. But there were still people inside: workers, part of the visitors … Only completely frostbitten terrorists, who should not have a place on earth, can hit such an object with missiles. And this is not an erroneous missile hit, this is a calculated Russian strike on this particular shopping center,” Zelensky said.

According to him, it is not yet possible to establish the exact number of victims, since the rescue operation continues, but the losses could be significant.

– A fire broke out on an area of more than 10 thousand square meters. The rescue operation continues, but must be aware that losses can be significant. As of now, 12 dead and 24 injured are known. We are establishing how many people are under the rubble,” the President specified.

As Zelensky noted, doctors from Kyiv were sent to Kremenchug, and all the wounded will receive the necessary assistance. Also, Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky went to the scene to coordinate all the necessary actions.

The strike on the shopping center in Kremenchug, Poltava region, was carried out by the Russians on June 27. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops fired X-22 missiles from Tu-22 M3 long-range bombers. As a result, at least 12 civilians were killed and dozens of people were injured.
