
Zelensky imposed sanctions against Putin and Russian officials
President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree imposing personal sanctions against Russian citizens. Among them is Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The relevant document is published on the website of the head of state. – Introduce the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated June 9, 2022 “On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)”. Control over the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose on the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. This decree comes into force on the day of publication, Zelensky's decree says. According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, 35 people fell under sanctions. Among them are Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and a number of other representatives of the Russian government. The document states that those who fell under the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council are prohibited from entering the territory of our country, withdrawing capital from Ukraine and participating in privatization. The restrictions also include blocking assets and restricting trading operations. The term of sanctions is indefinite.
