Zelensky: Liberation of Snake Island does not guarantee security, but limits the actions of Russians
President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked all Ukrainian defenders for the expulsion of Russian troops from Snake Island. This was discussed in his address to the Ukrainians. – Undoubtedly, the main word today is “Snake”. Probably, just as much was said about Serpentine only on the day when the Russian ship arrived there. Then the ship departed – forever, and now the island is free again. I am grateful to the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Alpha fighters, grateful to our gunners, pilots of army aviation and the Air Force, the command of Alexandria, Zelensky said. According to him, Zmeiny Island is an important strategic point, from on which the situation in the Black Sea depends. The head of state does not rule out that the Russian troops may return again. At the same time, the liberation of the island limits their actions. – Zmeiny Island is a strategic point, which significantly changes the situation in the Black Sea. This does not guarantee safety, it does not guarantee that the enemy will not return. But this already limits the actions of the occupiers,” he noted. The President also assured the Ukrainian people that step by step the Armed Forces of Ukraine will oust Russian soldiers from the Ukrainian sea, land and sky.
