Zelensky: Much of what we are preparing depends on the fighting in the Donetsk region

Much of Ukraine's plans for the near future depend on the current confrontation in the Donetsk region. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message on February 18.

«Traditionally, I want to thank all those who are defending the state on the battlefield right now. I especially want to note each and every one who defends the Donetsk region. The most brutal and principled hostilities continue there. A confrontation on which a lot of what we are preparing for the near future depends», — the president noted.

Zelensky thanked the paratroopers of the 79th separate air assault brigade, the marines of the 35th separate brigade, the infantrymen of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade, the gunners of the 55th separate and 27th rocket artillery brigades. He also said that on Saturday there is something to celebrate the fighters who operate in the Zaporozhye direction.

«128th separate brigade of the forces of the Troops — thank you guys for repelling the attacks!» — added the Ukrainian leader.
