Zelensky: No one will hand over Bakhmut
President Volodymyr Zelensky notes that if Ukraine receives long-range weapons as soon as possible, the Ukrainian Defense Forces will not only not move away from Bakhmut, but will also begin to de-occupy the previously occupied territory of the eastern regions. He said this at a press conference following the results of the Ukraine-EU Summit, Ukrinform reports.
«No one will hand over Bakhmut. We will fight as long as we can. We consider Bakhmut our fortress… If weapons, namely long-range weapons, are accelerated, we will not only not move away from Bakhmut, we will begin to de-occupy Donbass, occupied since 2014 & # 187;, & # 8212; said the head of state.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine knows the specific needs for this, and thanked all the states «which are on this path next to us».
- Commander of the Intelligence Center of the Estonian Defense Forces, Colonel Margo Grosberg, said that Ukrainian troops have gained time and will probably leave Bakhmut at some point.
