The fact that Syria recognized the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as the so-called “independent states” became known on 29 June. According to the Syrian media, talks will be held with both “countries” in the near future to agree on a framework for strengthening relations, including the establishment of diplomatic relations in accordance with known rules.
